On 29 July 2013, H.E. Mr. Omar Al-Qenaei, Consul General had a meeting with Madam Nguyen Duy Linh Thao, Vice Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Kien Giang Province at the Office of the Consulate General of the State of Kuwait in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the meeting, Madam Thao handed the Consul General a list of projects calling for investment in Kien Giang Province in the areas of finance, trade, tourism, urban development and water treatment. The two parties have also discussed ways to further enhance cooperation between Kuwait and Kien Giang Province in various fields.
