The Consul General paid a visit to An Giang Province on 21 May 2012 and was warmly welcomed by the Chairmam of the People’s Committee of An Giang Province Vuong Binh Thanh.  

The Chairman gave a brief on the social-economic development and fields that the province is calling for investment. He expressed his hope that the the Consul General would act as a bridge for An Giang province to approach ODA sources from the Government of Kuwait and call for Kuwait's businesses to invest in social and technical infrastructure, especially transportation.

In response, the Consul General said, he was deeply impressed by the socio-economic achievements of An Giang Province. He hoped to tighten cooperation relations with the province, bringinging Kuwaiti investors to explore markets and potentials for economic development, particularly in the field of trade and services.
