On 22 July 2013, H.E. Mr. Omar Al-Qenaei, Consul General handed a grant of VND224,000,000 (two hundred and twenty four million Vietnam Dong) to representatives of mosques in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern region of Vietnam.

The grant is provided by the Government of the State of Kuwait for mosques in Ho Chi Minh City and provinces in the south where there are mosques. It will be used for Iftar (fast breaking) activities during the holy month of Ramadan.
