Al-Fireej Shop

(a quarter which had a number of houses next to one another) :
In the past, most Kuwaiti districts had one or two shops which supplied the citizens with their essential daily needs such as rice, flour, sugar, tea, beans, spices, kerosene and other things.
The painting features two shops : one is open and the other is closed.

Bait Al-Oud Road

It was a corridor or blocked road which led to the inlets of four houses and was called 'blocked road'.

The Gate of the Wall

It is one of the five gates of the wall of Kuwait. In the past, those gates were the only access that linked the City with the exterior.

The Tower of Mulla Saleh 2

It was one of the towers which differed in its own design than the other ones built along the wall of Kuwait.

The Moment of Arrival

The drawing features the articles of one of the families who left the City and went to its house at Hawalli village for residence during spring..

The Stand of the Water Vessel and Gharsha 1

The painting exhibits a stand under the stair case, on it there are Borma (medium-sized water vessel) and Gharsha. Under the stand, Al-Raqqiyah (the watermelon) and the bowl of milk are kept to cool; an old Kuwaiti custom.

Hib Al-May (the Vat made of pottery)

It could keep a large amount of water to cool and to become pleasant for drinking. It was the water cooler of the time but with a difference
